Will wanting to wear jocks at night be enough motivation? How long should we persist with a bed alarm?

Thanks so much for the information, that is really helpful. Do you think if Charlie is saying he wants to wear jocks at that is enough motivation. If we try the bed alarm how long do we persist with that. Meaning if he hasn't got it 1mth, 2mth or 3mth's try again in say 6mths time.

This is certainly one sign – you should also talk to him to see how he feels. The time it takes for children to achieve dryness when using conditioning alarms can be anything from a few weeks to a few months with about 10-15% of children experiencing some relapse – when this happens you need to reintroduce the alarm treatment although you will find that he will become dry much quicker the second time around. I would recommend that you consult either with your GP or a continence specialist before commencing treatment as success is increased when used under professional guidance. Good Luck!!
