It is very common for children as they move toward achieving permanent nighttime continence to oscillate between periods of dryness and times when they wet. His body is still learning to respond to the signals that his bladder sends to his brain telling him to wake-up and go to the toilet so if he has had a particularly active week or he becomes overtired it just makes it that little bit harder for him to respond. When this occurs it is best just to ignore it and return to using DryNites or whatever method you previously employed. It may be helpful to consider whether anything has changed – sometimes children when they become overtired are more prone to bedwetting.
