Just because they're twins
I am a mum to twin boys now aged 9, and a 6yo daughter. I went through the usual potty training stage with both the boys at the same time. When one of my boys then started being dry at night, I thought "Great! They should both be dry now!" Wrong. Still at 9, one of my boys wets the bed every night. He seems to sleep very heavily. I try to wake him up in the middle of the night but can't. He has even fallen out of bed twice, and hasn't woken up. He is obviously such a heavy sleeper.
The bed wetting is starting to effect my son now, as he is being invited to sleep overs etc, but is terrified about the other kids at school finding out. I just reassure him that he is not the only boy to wet his bed, and I think that does help him a little and it does help that he has a couple of friends who know his 'secret' and are really good about keeping it from others at school. I am just hoping that in time he will grow out of this, but right now, it's something that is part of our everyday life.
