Just wanting to know if you have any advice on helping my daughter who will be 6 in september to not need to wear a nappy as she still is wetting it and some nights wets through it? Any help would be great.
Unfortunately there seems to be no quick fixes or simple solutions when it comes to bedwetting with the most common resolution being time. While underlying medical problems are rare it is generally recommended that that once a child reaches school age and is wetting the bed on a regular basis you should consult with your GP. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about your daughter at this early stage as most children under the age of 6 years do outgrow bedwetting on their own without the need for intervention. If her bedwetting does begin to bother her, she expresses feelings of failure or embarrassment then it is time to explore different treatment options – you can read about these on the DryNites website. In the meantime I would try using DryNites rather than a nappy – they are designed to appeal to older children and look more like a pant helping children feel more positive about their bedwetting – are highly absorbent and will offer a better fit reducing the likelihood of leakage.
