Treating daughter with homeopathics but she still is not improving

My daughter is 6 and a half and she wears Dry Nights every night and wets them nearly every night. I am treating with homeopathics but she still is not improving. I believe she doesn't wake when she wees with or without the Dry Nights. Do you think I should try her without them so she doesn't have a safety and see if she starts to wake instead of weeing?

Dr Cathrine Answered:

There are a number of treatments available for children who wet the bed unfortunately these are not always successful in rectifying the problem. While homeopathics have been used successfully with some children they are still viewed as largely experimental. DryNites should be viewed as a management tool rather than a treatment – their use should neither fix nor prolong children’s bedwetting. By not wearing them it is possible that she will wake-up after she wets although this will not necessarily teach her to either hold on or wake-up before she wets the bed. This may result in disrupted sleep as well as the added burden of wet sheets. Be reassured that many children her age do outgrow bedwetting as their body matures and becomes better able to control their bladder function. If you are wanting to explore additional treatment options there are a number listed on the DryNites website anyone of these should be used in conjunction with professional advice.
