Hi Anna, while it is perfectly normal for 5-year-old children to be still wetting the bed at night, given she had been dry for an extended period it is always worth having her checked by your GP just to rule out any underlying medical issue and to help put your mind at ease. Many children with good bladder control during the day continue to experience nighttime incontinence – this is not unusual. Be careful in restricting fluid especially in the hotter months as this can lead to constipation, a known cause of bedwetting in children.
