Thought it stopped

My daughter is 7 1/2 and has gone through stages of wetting the bed, sometimes once a week, at other times 5 times a week. She had been consistently wetting the bed between 3-5 times a week for at least the last year.

I've gone through stages of using DryNites, then tried to stop and just used the padded mats that go on top of the fitted sheet (much easier than changing the whole lot). About 8 weeks ago I started taking her to the chiropractor (who I was seeing for myself). She has seen her 6 times and done 'adjustments' on her back. The bedwetting has almost stopped! She has only wet the bed (or the DryNites pants) once a week for the last 3 weeks! Fingers crossed!

Apparently if there is a problem with the alignment of the lower spine (which can be fixed by adjustments by a chiropractor) it interferes with the nerves that send signals to the brain telling it to wake up and go pee (this is how it was explained to me by the chiropractor). Unfortunately, all those chiropractor visits are expensive but worth if it it works. Apparently it works for some children but not all. And it might take a few months to see any improvement. In my daughter's case, we started seeing big improvement after about 4 weeks of weekly visits.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!
