I missed the signs...
My beautiful daughter started wetting the bed (after being dry at night) around the same time she started school, and had been wetting the bed sometimes up to 3 times a night.
I went to the child centre, the doctors, the pediatrician, the internet and the advice from all (after the individual tests) was that it was something she would grow out off and I should just be patient and remind her that lots of children wet at night, its ok, stockpile sheets and quilts and be supportive.
For months I was waking at night and taking her to the toilet (sometimes carrying, sometimes walking her if I could wake her), and washing every morning.
Two weeks ago we both had viral bronchitis and spent the week together. Being at home with her during the day - I noticed for the first time that she doesn't go to toilet during the day AT ALL. I watched her drink up to 2 litres of fluid during the day and not once did she go to the toilet!
It was something that I had never noticed, a just sort of assumed that she went during the day when she needed too - more the fool than I.
I put an 'experiment' forward to her that we try going toilet during the day, when we get out of bed, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and before bed.
I couldn't believe it when it worked! 4 days in a row.
We have had wet and dry nights since I have gone back to work and I am not reminding her during the day.
Just working out what was causing this was such a relief I could have cried for missing the signs for so long.
Hope this helps someone else.
