I am almost 16 and I still wet the bed. I do everything I can think of to help stop, but nothing seems to work. Any tips?

Even though your bedwetting occurs relatively infrequently it still must be very frustrating and inconvenient. The first thing to think about is whether there seems to be any pattern to your bedwetting – does it typically happen after a very active day, when you are overtired or after you’ve eaten particular foods? Sometimes it can be a very simple solution like going to bed a little earlier so that you do not become overtired making it harder to wake to a full bladder. Avoid drinks and food that contain caffeine (this includes soft-drinks and chocolate) as these cause your kidneys to produce more urine overnight placing additional strain on your bladder. Reducing the amount of dairy in you diet can sometimes help. If these simple solutions don’t make any difference then a conditioning alarm is probably your next best option. Enuresis alarms have the highest success rates particularly among individuals who experience less frequent bedwetting like you. If you have not already done so make an appointment with your GP to rule out any underlying medical cause such as a urinary tract infection which if left undiagnosed can cause bedwetting particularly among girls.
