Every day we are confronted with growing pains, body changes, hormones… and we’re surrounded by peers who are dealing with all the same things. Add bedwetting to the mix (and it frequently is added) and puberty can start to feel like a bit too much.
Never fear, help is here.
TAKE PRACTICAL STEPS
Using common sense will help you to rule out potential medical problems, connected with your changing body. Drinking less at night and using the bathroom before bedtime should help to reduce night time accidents.
If these steps don’t help after a while, you may wish to speak to a medical professional. They may suggest tests, or medication, but usually you will get some information, advice, and bedwetting products
DONT FREAK OUT
This is happening. It happens to a lot of people your age because your body is changing.
The best thing you can do is come to terms with it and deal with what you can, when you can. Protect your mattress with a bed mat, sleep through the night by using bedwetting pants when you have to, and do your best to relax – tension only makes it worse.
