If you are going through a bedwetting phase at the moment, we understand why you might be a bit worried about a sleepover.
We can tell you a million times that you’re not alone (because, actually, a lot of teenagers wet the bed sometimes), but that’s hardly helpful right now. Not when the fear of wetting the bed at someone else’s house seems all too real. Here’s the good news, there are plenty of ways to avoid that ever happening – or to deal with it quickly and quietly, if it does.
MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE BATHROOM
Find out where the nearest bathroom is and use it before you go to sleep. You might even want to put a change of clothes and sealable bag in there as an extra safety net. A torch (even the one on your phone might do) will be handy if you wake up in the middle of the night and feel like you can wee.
LIMIT YOUR LIQUIDS
There are going to be drinks at the sleepover and while you have to be able to relax and enjoy yourself, trying not to drink right before bed is a winning tactic. Aim to stop sipping by around 4pm if you can.
PACK THE RIGHT TOOLS

LET YOUR HOST PARENTS KNOW
Sounds like a big deal, doesn’t it? It’s not. They’re not going to let it slip. The fact is, their kid probably wet the bed at some stage too – but they won’t tell you that, just like they won’t tell anyone about you.
