Stress can manifest itself in many different ways; some teenagers isolate themselves, other’s act out and engage in aggressive behaviour, some develop physical illnesses like headaches and stomach aches, while others cry. Stress can certainly manifest itself as a return to bedwetting, however not all stress leads to bedwetting. For some teenagers the stress can be so overwhelming that professional help may be needed. Stress and depression should never be managed alone, speak with your parents about how you are feeling and seek out professional support where necessary. Always remember there are lots of people who care about you and are there to help. Kids Helpline is also a free telephone and online counselling service which works with children, teenagers and young adults. All information shared is private and confidential.
